Is there possibly a simple way to learn the guitar? Is it even possible to learn the guitar online? Well, yes! You can! Private guitar lessons is not much different than online lessons for guitar. You have a guitar, instructor and lesson plan. However, there are many more advantages to learning the guitar online. Let’s take a look:
#1 Many Different Instructors
With the ability to have several different instructors, you’re honing in on particular skill sets that you just won’t be able to get with traditional private instruction. Your private instructor I can guarantee you specializes in one of the main genre’s (Rock, Classical, Jazz, Country… etc). So, unless he/she is specializing in your very area of interest? You are not getting the optimized lesson plan for your interest.
#2 Ability to View Lessons Over and Over
A lot of times when you are first learning the guitar you don’t quite get it right away on where to place your fingers and exactly the way it looks from your point of view. With private instruction this can be quite difficult. Worse yet, you could be doing it wrong and practicing the wrong technique all week! When you learn the guitar online you will be able to view where to place your fingers from several different angles which enables you to pick it up quite quickly.
#3 Tools
I think this could be worth taking online guitar lessons all in its self! You will receive many different tools to help you quickly pick up the guitar. They include, jam tracks, tuners and song learning software. Plus, you will have a forum filled with dedicated students like yourself to help answer questions.
So, learning the guitar online all depends on you. Are you the type that needssomeone pushing them to get started. If this is the case for you? I would not recommend online lessons for guitar. Self discipline is necessaryfor this type of teaching. However, you can take private guitar lessons to start and learn online lessons for guitar later as you become more advanced. The lessons will be much easier for you to follow and you will become advanced quite quickly since you will be able to move along at your own pace without waiting to see your guitar teacher next week.
All in all online lessons for guitar are the wave of the future and must be considered on your journey of learning the guitar.

Learning to play the guitar can be a very confusing and frustrating process if you don’t know where to begin. It mostly looks like a lot of guitar sites pulling you all over the place and really just not leaving you with a good place to start.
There are 4 basic catagories you have available:
Private Guitar Lessons
This is the traditional place where guitarist learnedfrom start to finish. You will definitely have the one on one attention if you so desireif you pick up a good instructor. The instructor will take you through many options and he/she will ask you a few questions. What type of music are you interested in playing? Do you want to learn how to read music, tabs or just play a few songs? A good instructor will be able to teach you all of these techniques. However, this method can be quite expensive over time, you may have to wait a week or so to get the answers you need now and the instructor you pick may not be an expert in the genre of music you’re interested in. All in all it’s a great place to begin though.
Group Guitar Lessons
This is a good place to start and see if the guitar is something you are willing to pursueand learn a few chords and rhythm. The instructor will start the whole class out with the basic chords and hopefully they will get around to you if you have any specific questions. You will also learn a few songs and basically learn how to read chord charts and basic music notation. I would get a hold of your local community college for lessons. They can be the cheapest and easiest place to start.
Online Lessons For Guitar
This is where all the attention has been lately. People are so used to using the internet now that it has just become second nature. Plus, you will be able to take the lessons whenever you want from the comfort of your own home. Also, you may have a faster or slower learning curve. With online guitar lessons you get to take your time and watch the available HD quality videos over and over again until you get it right. This is definitely the place to start and take more specific advanced guitar styles. Many of the lessons available today are top notch. However, there are quite a few out there that just don’t measure up. I’d look into some online lessons for guitar reviews to see which ones right for you.
DVD’s & Guide Books Lessons
Hopefully you’re the type whos self motivated. Most people start by purchasing a guide book or DVD to learn how to play the guitar. I’m not talking about a high quality DVD series. I’m talking about the single learning DVD. This will work for the self motivated individual. However, you may not get your questions answered, become frustrated and just plain give up. I would recommend picking up a book though. They’re less expensive and you will be able pick up a few techniquesto help you get started when you pick up more advanced instruction.

Are you not sure whether online lessons for guitar really work? Have you been searching online to find what’s right for you?
Well, let’s see your options and hopefully I can help?
There are essentially three different guitar lesson outlines available today:
Class Room Lessons For Guitar
This is a wonerful option if you are low on funds and just really want to see if learning the guitar is something you are possibly willing to pursue? I will warn you though. You will not get the attention you need. You see, depending on whether you are a fast learner or a slow learner, this will still be hard. You may find yourself getting bored or just falling way behind and frustrated at the speed at which everyone else is picking this up.
Private Lessons For Guitar
This is where most people start . You will get one on one attention. Plus, great detail and your questions answered right away without the embarrassment of asking in front of a class room. However, there are a couple problems. The cost for one! You will find yourself paying $15/half hour per week at a minimum. Plus, if you don’t practice at least 15min/day you’ll find yourself not ready for the next lesson! The instructor will not move forward in your lessons until you have perfected the previous lesson or they feel you’re ready to move on. Also, your instructor may not be an expert in the genre of music you’re intrested in playing. Just something to think about. All in all private guitar lessons are a great place to start. You can always take online lessons for guitar at a later date after you’ve perfected the fundamentals.
Online Lessons For Guitar
This is probably your best option. The cost is low at approximatly $14.95/mo to $19.95/mo. Plus, you get excellent video guitar instruction with several different camera angles so you know exactly where your fingers are to be placed from the guitarist point of view. Also, if you’re not quite getting it? You can just watch the partsover and over again until you get it right. Another great thing is that you move through the lessons and learn at your own pace. There is one downfall though. You will have to be self motivated since you won’t have someone to move you to practice.
So, do you research and find the best online lessons for guitar that work for you. Only you will know. There are many guitar lessons available on the internet. So, what are you waiting for?! Do your homework and learn how to play the guitar now! You will have a life time of enjoyment if you do.
