Why Learning To Play Guitar Is Good For You

Today I want the world to know how it feels to be a Guitar player.

My playing and indeed my song writing always started with making sound and driving expression from my absolute favourite instrument, the Guitar.

Yes, I love guitars. I mean, really love them. They inspire me, reward me and make me smile whenever I look at them. I know they hold bucket loads of potential. The potential of the guitar itself and my very own potential for expressing my creative urges and inner vibes. The guitar is an alchemist of sound and expression.

Guitars have a way with vibes like some people have a way with words. Poets and great writers for instance, write strings of words that paint pictures that transcend ordinary concepts. The guitar in its own way transcends the ordinary by adding its voice to the range of sounds we experience and enjoy.

Somehow, in a very magical way, a guitar gets inside our soul and borrows our souls essence to expresses it beautifully through a combination of wood, air, strings and touch.

The guitar exhibits through sound and vibration a magical alchemy that has made guitar so popular today. What I want you to do is to spend time with your guitar as you would a best friend but demand from it it’s cooperation to allow the unique voice and vibe of YOU to shine through it.

It’s a joint synergy between guitar and human and those who persevere with practice will come to understand. It’s so very cool. It rocks. Its damn right exhilarating and it can be yours. How?

Learn as much as possible about guitars. Acoustic Guitars, Electric guitars, all and every sort of guitar you can lay your hands on. Now play them. Hear the tones, the subtlety’s the nuances, the difference between playing hard out and soft and gently, the difference between using a pick a variety of picks or none at all.

Finger pick, strum, learn new chords and scales. Play with arranging your own chords and see what happens. Flow, push, experiment, Just do it.

Now, there may be times you hit a wall. That’s when a teacher or instruction will be useful. There are plenty of options on this site for instruction. Check them out. They are all guaranteed to help you and will be money well spent.
